Cabela's Alaskan Guide Tent For Sale

Cold weather camping sleeping bag!!??

This is an unboxing video review of the Cabela's Alaskan Guide sleeping bag! This ultimate camping sleeping bag is rated to negative 40 degrees and has a rectangular shape with more space for sleeping.

The sleeping bag come with a goose down fill, however this one has a combination of Thermolite and goose down. This is not a super lightweight sleeping bag, it has a weight of about 8lbs but has an added compression sack that allows it to be packed up fairly small.

If you do alot of cold weather camping chances are that you will need the best sleeping bag you can get for the winter months. Finding the best sleeping bag will not be easy at all! Sleeping bag reviews can vary from person to person since every person has a different temperature of how warm they want to be during the night time. One review will say it is the "warmest bag" they ever slept in! The next review will say that they stayed cold the entire night! Then you get into the sizes... How much room is enough room in the bag? How tall is the bag? It is a long process when choosing the right bed for camping!

Of course I can't solve this problem for you, you should go to the stores to find out which sleeping bag is best to fit your needs while in the great outdoors.

However, what we have done is purchased a new sleeping bag that will, hopefully, last for a very long time and will be a warmer alternative when we go camping during the winter. Somehow it never fails that we get caught with very cold overnight low's and sleep, at times, uncomfortably. It doesn't help either that we take a summer tent to setup everywhere we camp! BUt let us fix the bedding situation first!

The sleeping bag video review below is the unboxing of the Cabela's Alaskan Guide bag! Watch it now!

This particular Cabela's Alaskan Guide bedding is rated to -40 degrees. It has a combination of Goosedown filling and Thermolite, the bedding also has a rectangular shape for more flexibility at night but does come in the optional "mummy" style. The "carry weight" is about 8lbs and comes with a waterproof compression sack for storage and transportation. Where can you buy it?! You can find is for sale exclusively at the Cabela's store or online.

We are looking forward to testing this out next time we go camping this winter! We hope that we did find the ultimate sleeping bag and will post updates with a more detailed review of how the bedding performs in the cold weather!

Tent Cot Oversize set up

Setup in under 3 minutes.
Here is the set up of the Tent Cot. They're AWESOME if you're camping by vehicle. You would never expect to hike with one of these strapped to anything other than a burro.
They're quick to set up and just as fast to break down. No need to worry about rocks and sticks. I love mine!! This is the Oversize model, just a bit bigger and taller than the original model. It also comes in a double model. It includes a rain fly which I did not set up. I got this from Bass Pro for about $189. Feel free to ask questions. I'll help as best I can!
